GLUTEN-FREE’S TOP FIVE STATUS
It came as no surprise to me that “gluten-free” was picked as one of the top five food trends for 2010 at the Winter Fancy Food Show, which this year was held in San Francisco. Of course, I welcome rising public awareness, but “going gluten-free” is not simply a trend! It’s a vital change of lifestyle for so many of us. No matter. Products are not only proliferating, but they taste better than ever before. Udi’s Gluten-Free White Sandwich Bread and Gluten-Free Whole Grain Bread, for instance, get top marks for soft texture, flavor, appearance and keeping qualities.
